My favourite bath time scents

Hi all! And welcome back to Shelves of Beauty!

If you liked the first blog hopefully, you’ll like the second. This time I’ll be talking about my favourite shower gels, the ones I love the most, limited editions and the ones that make me go meh!

Let’s start off with my favourite, Bath and Body works (available through next). The fragrance that I can’t, and you shouldn’t be without is “Into the Night”.

From shower gel to body mist and body lotion, it has a luxurious smell and if I say so myself, is paired well with my favourite perfume, Black Opium. With shower gel ranging from £16 to the body mist that is £18, these fragrances are extremely affordable for anyone. I also really love the scent Perfect in Pink, I feel bath and body works scents leave my skin feeling cleaned but alongside their lotion feeling nourished. The scent lasts so long on my skin, and not only does it last on me you can also smell it throughout the house! The number of fragrances available from Bath and Body works for both males and females is in the hundreds, and I’d say approximately half of the female fragrances are in my bathroom.

If you like light scents, fresh, summery or more autumnal scents bath and body works has it all along with their limited editions. For example, for Halloween they have the scent ‘Vampire Blood’ this scent is fruity and floral with a hint of jasmine and berries (can’t wait to get my hands on this one to add to my collection). Also, for Halloween they have brought out their ‘I scream float’ with a sweet smell that reminds me of an ice cream coke float. I must admit I can’t wait for the Christmas scents to be released to put on my Christmas list.

Even though these are limited edition, bath and body works won’t put the arm in. They are the same price as all year-round scents.

Another brand I love is Lush. With their products being 100% vegetarian and approximately 95% of that being vegan, its great for everyone. The fragrance that is on top of my Christmas list is their Snow Fairy range.

This scent is so popular that once it becomes available it flies off the shelf. This is a winter scent though I think it should be an all-year-round scent! Snow fairy smells like candyfloss, bubble-gum and Christmas in a bottle. Leaving my skin silky smooth and feeling as though my skin can breathe. Though a bit more expensive than Bath and Body Works with the body spray coming in at £25.00 for 200ml and their shower gel for 1kg is £36.00 and their lip mask for 18g is £9.50 must admit I use all this scent sparingly as I need it to last till next Christmas.

And finally, I know this is a stocking filler for many. But we really must talk about the elephant in the room. Lynx. With it being in my view a stocking filler, some people love It some people hate it, to me it leaves my skin feeling itchy, the scent doesn’t last long, and it reminds me of school changing rooms. For the duo gift set which is the shower gel and deodorant it is £8. I have to admit as a fragrance it is good for the teenager in the house.

Until next time,

Sophia
